Building Process - Part 1

From top to bottom, here is the steps involved in building the cabin.

1.) First, the footing pads and cinderblock stacks are placed for the foundation of the cabin. The cement pads will be re-inforced with a reinforcing steel mesh. (Completed November 7, 2004)

 

2.) The joists and stringers of the floor come next, of course. Due to the nature of the structure, we have adopted the spoke pattern. This will provide the structure for the rest of the project. (Completed November 22, 2004)

3.) Next, the floor decking. I have calculated that it will take three sheets of 4x8 plywood for each of the eight sections.
