The chart below shows the measurement of the trees on the lot as indicated by the identifying number. Each tree has a dot on the map to the left identifying the location of that tree. I went out with a can of orange spray paint and put 'X' and '?' on most of the ones to be removed.

Tree number 9 is particularly impressive. It is about 16 inches in diameter and the overall height is at least 75 feet. Coming from an island where the trees are lucky to ge to 30 feet, that is impressive.

Pending approval from the engineer, I want to make the posts out of some of the larger pine logs and the beams out of oak. The rafters should do good from sizeable pine trees left over from the harvest.

I will be cutting the trees myself. Also, I plan to construct a good block and tackle to move and handle most of the logs. Some of the larger ones will not be that easy. Hopefully, I can finagle a suitable vehicle to move the ones that the block and tackle cannot handle. Look for pictures of that fiasco in the next few months.
